Description: ECU supports the vision of the Department of Health, WA to significantly improve and support the participation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in tertiary education for health related disciplines to increase the numbers working within the Australian health workforce.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; permanently reside in Western Australia; be experiencing financial hardship or low socio-economic status (usually demonstrated by being in receipt of a means-tested Centrelink allowance); be in the first year of study having successfully completed 60 credit points (one semester of study); and not be in receipt of any other scholarships with the exception of those in receipt of any Commonwealth Scholarships (CAS and/or CECS) or the Student Start Up or Relocation Scholarships through Centrelink.
