About Griffith
Since opening its doors in 1975, Griffith University has come to be regarded as one of Australia�s most innovative tertiary institutions. Griffith is Australia�s ninth largest higher education provider with more than 3,500 full time staff and over 300 degrees on offer.
In 2012 Griffith was placed in the top 4% of global universities on three of the major and most credible university world rankings: the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), QS World University Rankings and the Times HE World University Rankings. Only one other Queensland university was featured in all three rankings at such a level.
Griffith is home to over 44,000 students including more than 11,000 international students from 131 nations. This makes Griffith the No.1 University in Queensland in terms of onshore enrolments. Location
Griffith�s five campuses (Gold Coast, Logan, Nathan, Mt Gravatt and South Bank) are located in the nation�s fastest growth region, the brisbane-Gold Coast corridor. Students can enjoy easy access to brisbane�s social, cultural and recreational facilities and the attractions of Queensland�s top surfside tourist destination. With a sub-tropical climate with an average of 300 days of sunshine per year Griffith is the perfect location to combine study with a great lifestyle.
Accommodation
On-campus accommodation is available at our Nathan, Mt Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses. Privately owned student accommodation located a short walk from campus is available at our Logan and Southbank campuses. Students also have the additional option of Griffith Homestay, a University based program that provides international students with the option of living with an Australian family whilst studying.

Griffith provides a range of support services for our students including:

- EnglishHELP: FREE English language support for international students.
- FREE computer, academic and library workshops.
- GI Mates: student mentors who welcome and support new international students during orientation weeks.

Griffith English Language Institute (GELI)
GELI provides English language support for students before, during and after their study at Griffith. GELI centres are conveniently located at our Nathan, Mt Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses.
