University Overview
The University of Canberra (UC), based in Australia's national capital, occupies a site of almost 120 hectares in the suburb of bruce, about eight kilometres north-west of the central business district. The Bruce precinct includes a technology park, the Australian Institute of Sport, a campus of the Canberra Institute of Technology, a major hospital and several government departments.
The University's mission is to provide the highest level of professional undergraduate education in Australia. It educates students for approximately 30 different professions, among them information technology, management, law, accounting, engineering, teaching, modern languages, marketing, journalism, design, architecture, biomedical science, psychology, nursing, environmental science and sports studies. UC has one of the highest employment rates for graduates in Australia. Courses are organised within three Academic Divisions: Business, Law and Information Sciences, Communication and Education and Health, Design and Science.
UC offers full-time and part-time courses at undergraduate and graduate level. A variety of short courses are available through its professional development programs. Undergraduate
At Canberra, students can choose from many degrees under broad areas of study which includes arts and design, business, government and law, education, science, technology and maths and health. Canberra offers different pathway programs for students such as diplomas, UC connect, UC prep, UC start and UCan reach. Undergraduate students can take part in the University of Canberra student exchange program or study abroad which allows them to advance their academic studies while developing a greater understanding of different cultures.
Postgraduate
Canberra has a wide selection of postgraduate courses that will help graduate students further their qualifications and enhance their career opportunities.
