Description: The scholarships assist students who are from low socio-economic backgrounds and who may also be experiencing other forms of educational disadvantage. They aim to maximise the participation of such individuals in higher education and also target groups statistically under-represented in higher education.

Eligibility: Applicants must: be Australian citizens, permanent residents or holders of a permanent humanitarian visa; be enrolled, or about to commence full time study, in an undergraduate course or a graduate diploma (or equivalent postgraduate qualification); be enrolled as a Commonwealth-supported student; demonstrate financial hardship; and not have completed a course of study equivalent to or higher than an Australian bachelor award, unless it is a prerequisite to the current course of study.
