Description: Operations research (OR) techniques have been used in the private sector, where the main objective is to maximise profits, with great success for decades. Their application to public sector however, where objectives are more complicated, is quite limited so far. The PhD project aims to identify problems from the public sector domain and propose solutions to these problems using OR techniques.
